Sarah M. Hawkins writes feminist YA stories full of broken romances and redeeming friendships. She's a sucker for love triangles, break-ups, animal puns, and ice cream sundaes. All of her first drafts are handwritten. She studied writing at Geneva College and is a member of SCBWI and #5amwritersclub. Her debut short story, "The Only One," is available on The Voyage Journal.  Her novel, "This Is How You Love," made the longlist of Voyage's Spring 2021 First Chapters Contest. She is currently querying "This Is How You Love" and working on a second novel set in her hometown of Pittsburgh, PA, where she currently lives with her punk husband and their two children.
